print this page for your use  (last revised 2/5/07)

Students currently living in the Residence Halls have the opportunity to apply to live in the CERRO VISTA APARTMENTS for the 2007-2008 Academic Year.

The following is an outline of the application process for the CERRO VISTA lottery along with important dates and deadlines.

To apply for the Cerro Vista lottery, students access the Housing Application System through the Cal Poly portal (my.calpoly.edu), using their Cal Poly portal user name and password then selecting the "Housing" tab and then the "Housing Application System." Application system available daily 8 am to 10 pm.

Please note: a deposit is NOT required to enter the CERRO VISTA lottery, however, residents who are successful in the lottery will need to be prepared to pay the first installment payment (or single Academic Year payment) with the return of their Student Housing License Agreement to the State Cashiers on or before the due date of April 4, 2007. Payments must be received no later than 4:30pm or the resident will forfeit his/her space in the Cerro Vista Apartments. Students receiving Financial Aid need to return the completed License Agreement marked " by Financial Aid" as method of payment.

Roommate Preferences: During the application process, students will have the opportunity to select up to three roommates of the same sex. All roommates must request all other roommates using their HOUSING ID NUMBERS. If even one roommate forgets or does not request the other roommate/roommates then all requests within the group will be invalid and the group will be split up and become individual applicants rather than roommates. *It is recommended that those who have requested roommates return to the application system prior to Tuesday, March 6, the last date to apply to the lottery, to be sure all requests are valid.
