We are committed to providing a two year, high quality on-campus living and educational environment to Cal Poly students. University Housing is dedicated to providing housing to all new students; however, with student numbers varying each year, our ability to meet the demand may fluctuate, so keep an eye on dates and schedules.
To apply for on-campus housing, students need to have their "admissions acceptance" on record with Cal Poly Admissions. The "admissions acceptance" option can be accessed via the "Accept/Decline" link from within a student's Cal Poly Portal account at my.calpoly.edu.
Student Housing License Agreements and payments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Payments and License Agreements received after all spaces are filled will be returned. On-campus housing will be in double, triple, or single rooms in residence halls or apartments.
Housing Payments are made through Student Accounts. Parents can make payments through the Student Accounts website. Students can pay through their Cal Poly Portal under the Money Matters tab.
Students with ADA or unique needs. The University Housing staff is available to assist students with ADA or unique needs and is readily available via e-mail at housing@calpoly.edu or by calling the Housing Administration Office at 805.756.1226.
Dining plans are offered through Campus Dining. All Freshmen living in on-campus residence halls and apartments are required to purchase a dining plan. Continuing, Transfer, and International students living in on-campus apartments are not required to purchase a dining plan.
Cancellations. University Housing takes into account projected cancellations prior to move-in. If a student wants to be released from their Housing License Agreement after move-in, they must fill out a Petition to Cancel at one of the Housing Administration Offices.
