Please add your name to our interest list. The application for housing starting the winter quarter opens 9 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 13 and closes Wednesday, Dec. 3

Winter and Spring Housing 

In addition to housing contracts that run for the academic year, students can apply for winter quarter and spring quarter housing or housing for spring only. University Housing does not offer housing for winter quarter only, as housing contracts are for the remainder of the academic year.  

Winter and Spring 2026 Housing Application Steps 

To be notified of when to apply, add your name to the winter/spring or spring housing interest list. Log into your Housing Portal and select the 2025-26 academic year to add your name. You will be contacted through your Cal Poly email to apply when the application opens.  

If you add your name to the interest list and then determine you no longer need campus housing, please return to your Housing Portal to remove your name.

Nov. 13, 2025

Housing application opens to those that have added themselves to the interest list: Log into your Housing Portal and select the 2025-26 Academic Year application to get started.

Dec. 3, 2025

Housing application is due.

Dec. 5, 2025

Last date to cancel without financial penalty. (A 30-day notice is required.)

Dec. 18, 2025

Housing fees post to student account and room assignments are viewable in the online application system.

Jan. 1, 2026

First payment due. Students may pay the full amount or pay the first installment amount. Remaining installments are due on the first of the month starting Feb. 1, 2025, and then every month through May 1, 2026.

Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, starting at noon 

Residents move into campus housing. 

Spring 2026 Housing Application Steps  

Nov. 13, 2025

Feb. 17, 2026

Housing application opens to those that have added themselves to the interest list: Log into your Housing Portal and select the 2025-26 academic year application to get started.

Feb. 24, 2026

Last date to cancel without financial penalty. (A 30-day notice is required.) 

March 5, 2026

Housing application is due.

March 12, 2026

Housing fees post to student account and room assignments are viewable in the online application system.  

March 26, 2026

Residents move into campus housing.

April 1, 2026

First payment due. Students may pay the full amount or pay the first installment amount. Remaining installments are due on the first of the month. The final installment is due May 1, 2026.
